I just got back from Tampa for 3 days for a conference. while it was overcast, and at times windy, and sometimes rained, it really was not that bad. They had overly panicked and things were boarded up,etc, but better safe then sorry. In the end NONE of the flights were delayed or canceled and all events went off as scheduled.

On a Windows computer: Hold down the Alt key. Type 0167 on the right-hand number pad. Release the Alt key.

Hi Eric,

Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Character Map menu item.

(After you have been there once it will appear in your Start menu for easy access.)

This is what you see (attached). Click on the character you want, and then click Select. You can then either copy and paste it into your text, or make a note of the key combination shown at the bottom right. There are a lot more characters to choose from, scroll the window to see them all.

You can also type or paste in the box and combine your text with selected characters from the chart, then copy the whole lot on one go. Click the Help button for some more detailed notes.

regards,

Martin.

with living down here you take nothing for granted and you prepare for the worst..

its those that do not prepare that end up in worse shape...so many learned this from the hurricanes of 2004... Charley was one alot of people learned from in 2004 when he came in thru the Gulf side...so you prepare for the worst and hope and pray for the best...

Fay was and stilll is very unpredictable...yes she was only a Tropical Storm but there were lives lost.... Flights cancelled ....and so much flooding and people left homeless... Fay has done more damage then some CAT 1 hurricanes cuz she moved so slow and over land she gained strength..

my husband was born and raise here in Florida... ive only been here 9 years... but in the 9 years ive been here im like the Boy Scouts...

BE PREPARED !!!

§issie, Fay surely did leave its mark.  I feel so sorry for people who get flooded.  The problems really start when the water subsides.  Having been flooded once and nothing like these homes, I know how soul destroying it is.

Keep safe

Eric I meant to say. To make the Alt key work, you need to use your side key pad. It doesn't work with the top numbers.
